About this project
Monroe in Focus is a small, independent effort to cover every public meeting of the town's government, and to make each one easier to follow.
Middlesex County's Monroe Township posts full video of every council meeting, but two-plus hours of
procedural back-and-forth is a lot to ask of anyone with a job and a family. This site reads the meeting
so you don't have to, explaining who's who and what things mean along the way — no prior knowledge of
town politics assumed. Read more on the About page.
